Calming the wind, stilling the sea,
Jesus Your peace reigns inside me.
Walking on water, waves rise above,
O Son of God guard me in love.
You faced the storm of God’s holy wrath;
You fulfilled justice on my behalf.
You overcame the tempest of sin,
By Your pure blood I’m forgiven.

Perfect peace.
Peace has always been a theme for us. When we were roommates in college Ty would talk about it a lot. We even tried to write one of our first songs about it. Years later, Ty walked into my office with this song. He was confident. He already had most of the lyrics worked out. It was exciting to see that peace was becoming a part of Ty’s life and this song was the overflow from it! We’d grown from the idea to the reality. One of the funnest songs to record because of the dynamic change halfway through it!
