Tracknotes

The verses of this song come from Psalm 23 and the chorus from Psalm 63:3. Ty’s piano on piano harmony seems very original to me and I love how the music picks up the pace on the second time through.

    This is one of my favorite of your songs partly because it is based on my favorite Psalm. “O Father” is a wonderful marriage of words and music. This soothing blend of vocals, strings, and piano really captures the peace and serenity Christians feel as we know that the Lord is our Shepherd and that his goodness and mercy are chasing after us. Thanks for this song.

    A couple of mornings ago I awoke with this song on my mind and in my heart. Then when I went to the computer there it was posted here. What a double blessing to start the day. Love the words based on Psalm 23, and the vocal and orchestration work is awesome Ty. Especially like the way you filter in the keyboard as the song progresses, as well as the change in tempo or beat (or whatever you call it) in the latter stages. And Bobby, thanks much for the great God inspired writing on Psalm 23 and impending fatherhood. You lads are the best. Our love and blessings to you all up there.

    Your right Ty your not alone God is omni-present! Last night I was watching tv and saw a kinda scary show and went upstairs scared then I thought about how if God is with who can be against me…this song was encouraging!
